Sa awa ng diyos, patok naman.” Mano Bebot tells Kara David. The secret of their unique taste is tha instead of sinigang, Mano Bebot uses batuan, a unique fruit that can be only found on the dense forest of Samar.
Each dish of tinolang Malasugi costs only 70 pesos, which is cheap considering water and fish broth are free. Mano Bebot claims that eating their tinola are extremely good for curing hang over due to alcohol, that’s why lot of customers tend to visit the store on night. The word Pahawhawan came from that, to ease hang over.
